June 7th: AB1652 moved to inactive status by Goldberg

On June 7th, AB1652 was moved to inactive status in the Assembly by Author of the bill Assemblymemer Jackie Goldberg.

By giving drug abusers treatment, not "three-strikes" sentences, California could save tens of millions in future prison costs, according to supporters of the measure.

Goldberg plans to revive AB 1652 next year, an aide said.
